“The Central Region is adorned by a varied rural and urban landscape, and a seascape embracing rocky coasts, sandy beaches, and promenades. It is enriched by architectural and artistic manifestations expressed through its churches, chapels, fortifications, gardens, palaces and stately homes, and no less by its vernacular dwellings. The Region embraces towns, villages and hamlets; a highly active economic activity, from industrial estates and a crafts village to small and medium enterprises; and a cultural and religious manifestation as summarised by the annual local feasts and rituals, and the artistic and educational pursuits which colour the Region’s vibrant existence. I invite you to walk-through the Central Region.”
